We are proud
to announce that Christine Castello has agreed to become our new
Scoutmaster.
Special
Meeting:
We are asking
at least one Parent for each scout to attend a special PARENTS ONLY
meeting on Wednesday, September 15 at 8:30 PM in the Church Hall.
(Sorry, No Scouts, this meeting is for the Parents only)
With
Christine’s appointment, we are also formalizing the distribution of
“jobs” and responsibilities that were formerly handled mostly be
the Scoutmaster. This is intended to spread the efforts, Encourage
more diverse and enriched thinking, and to allow the Scoutmaster to
concentrate on working with our Youth Leadership, without the
distraction of the myriad administrative and communications
responsibilities. The idea is that the meetings and activities will
be totally concentrated around the boys and we (other Adults Leaders
and Parents) will take on roles that we can totally handle and thus
free up the Scoutmaster.
The FIRST SCOUT MEETING will be
held in the Church Hall on Friday, September 17 (Time TBD)

Class!!!

Our 15 Scouts at Camp earned
54 Merit Badges and a number of partials that just need a
little more work to be done.
(And had a fabulous water
fight to remember (sorry no pictures - it was too wet to risk a
camera)

HIKING MAP: Here is a LOCAL 6.8 mile hike that
almost anyone can do. See if you can do it in 2.5 hours or
less with a heavy pack!
ATTENTION ALL SCOUTS: You should be working
on advancement in Scouting. Please make sure that you are working
with Mr. Leblond, our Advancement Chairman, and Scoutmaster Tognan
to identify merit badges you can work on with a counselor and on
progressing on the
various skills and actions you need signed off in your advancement
pages of the Scout Manual.
