Welcome to the Home of Boy Scout Troop 49 of Bayside, New York.  
Our Troop was started over 55 years ago! Our Sponsor is Sacred Heart Church.  We are in Founders District, part of the Greater New York Councils of the Boy Scouts of America.
Scouting welcomes boys of all types, nationalities, religions.  Join us for fun, adventure, being in the outdoors and experiencing all that Nature has in store for us. 
Come to have fun.  Leave with a wealth of learning!

How do I qualify to become a Boy Scout?You need to be at least 10 and have earned your Cub Scout Arrow of Light; OR be 10 and have graduated from the 5th grade; OR be 11 years old. 
And of course, you need your parent’s permission! :-)

YOUTH PROTECTION TRAINING:
This ON-LINE training is REQUIRED for all adult leaders and is OPEN to all parents.  It is easy and very informative.  We urge you to take advantage of it:
